God is the representation of virtue and morality. He represents the values that allow man to live his life in a way that is fulfilling and virtuous. Lucifer is the representation of vices and immorality. He represents the lack of values and continuance compromise of morality.

As Adam and Eve give into temptation and compromise on their values, they suffer. Is such a situation not what we see every day?

When we compromise on the values of loyalty, courage, honesty, and other critical convictions, we suffer. Fornication, adultery, drinking, smoking, drugs, and other temptations by which God commands us not to give into, are often our common sources of suffering for people everyday.

It is difficult to be disciplined and remain steadfast. But, if we can do so, we benefit from this discipline. Physically, we eat better; in relationships, we remain loyal; in our pursuit of knowledge, we learn more. These are just some examples.
