Hi Toni,

Yes, men as a whole are more likely to be homeless, commit suicide, and be victims of violent crime. The other pieces of evidence to which I was referring include the systemic advantage to women in the courtroom (criminal and family) and that women are the majority of university graduates. (Considering university and college is a part of the "system" this would be the opposite of what one would expect if they believed in the patriarchy.) In a system that is supposed to benefit men, it seems contradictory to have these various disadvantageous outcomes for men.

Concerning my statement about proving the negative, I was referring to your previous comment about how my statement does not disprove the hierarchy. However, I do not need to disprove the patriarchy ("prove a negative") - you need to prove the patriarchy exists. Most women will point to the pay gap and differences in industry, but since both points have been consistently disproven, I'm curious as to what evidence you have that proves there is a patriarchy?

Cheers, Adam
